Pakistan captain in fight against India with child in his lap

India and Pakistan women's cricket teams face off in the ICC Women's World Cup, before Mitali Raj's India won the toss and elected to bat at Mount Manganui, New Zealand.

Before the start of the Pak-India Maharan match, Pakistan captain Bismillah Maruf had a big scene, he was seen getting off the team bus and entering the stadium with his young son.

Bismah Maruf once considered quitting cricket to give his son time, but after a 12-month 'vacation', he returned to the field in his home country jersey. Back on the field, he manages the bat just as well as the boy.

Bismah Maruf said she was skeptical about her career and the joy of being a mother after becoming pregnant. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board introduced a 'paternity policy' last year to allay those suspicions. With that opportunity, she has saved her career and kept her child safe.

Bismah Maruf will be able to have children not only in the match against India, but throughout the World Cup in New Zealand. Bismah Maruf made his international debut for Pakistan in 2006.
